Evora Delivers Seamless SAP Go-Live for Gas Utility

Evora is proud to announce the seamless and successful go-live of SAP Field Service Management (FSM) and SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM) at a North American gas utility, marking a major milestone in the utility’s digital transformation journey. This digital transformation project is part of a broader customer experience initiative by the utility’s parent company to consolidate operations across its subsidiaries into a single SAP S/4HANA environment and provide a seamless customer experience across its subsidiaries.
The implementation marks a significant step forward in modernizing utility field operations, improving technician efficiency, and enhancing the customer experience for over 125,000 gas utility customers. The go-live followed a rigorous project timeline that began in June 2024, culminating in a successful system launch in April 2025.
As part of this rollout, 130 technicians—including 90 from the utility and 40 contractors—are now actively using SAP SSAM to manage service orders and field activities. Evora led the full SAP FSM and SSAM implementation, working closely with the utility, its parent company, and a third-party vendor. The project included multiple rounds of regression testing and dry-run simulations, ensuring a seamless transition to the new system.
The goal of the customer experience initiative is to unify business processes and customer service across the parent company’s utility holdings by consolidating onto a single SAP platform. With this successful deployment, the gas utility now benefits from real-time service scheduling, mobile work order management, and streamlined asset tracking—all powered by SAP FSM and SSAM. The rollout not only improves operational efficiency but also positions the utility for future growth through integrated customer and field service capabilities.
