Evora Successfully Completes SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM) Upgrade for Leading North American Utility

Evora IT Solutions is proud to announce the successful go-live of an SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM) upgrade for a major North American utility. SSAM plays a vital role in mobilizing the utility’s maintenance and field service teams. This milestone marks a seamless transition from version 2210 to 2405, and underscores Evora’s continued commitment to delivering high-impact, future-ready solutions for maintenance and field operations. 

Upgrading from an earlier SSAM version enables the utility to take advantage of enhanced capabilities available in SSAM 2405 and extends vendor support for the application into 2026. 
Evora’s team led the charge to ensure a smooth and efficient implementation, providing Hypercare Support for end users and assisting with questions & clarifications during the application rollout. 

 

Key Achievements and Features of the SSAM 2405 Upgrade 

 

  • 900+ Technicians Onboarded: The utility now supports over 900 technicians using the upgraded application, and streamlines field operations across multiple service areas. 
  • New SSAM Features: The utility team has expressed high satisfaction with the new features, which include: 
    • Online Functional Location / Equipment Download: Users can now download meters and other SAP functional location asset data on demand—without needing a dispatched work order. This includes viewing asset attributes, installation dates, SAP classification data, and work order history. Users can also generate a corrective SAP notification for the downloaded asset, with support for image/document uploads and notes for the back office. 
    • Improved Image Editing: Users can now crop, edit, and mark up images during the attachment upload process. 
    • Work Order Dashboard: A new feature on the mobile app homepage displays live statistics, including the status of orders, and also enables users to review and jump into completed orders for tasks like timesheet entry and add additional attachments. 
    • Faster Rounds and Readings: Users now have new table format to enter Measurement Point Readings, which reduces clicks and makes data entry easier.  
    • Optimized User Navigation: Faster screen load times and new Quick Action Toolbars improves user experience and satisfaction. 
    • Improved Device Compatibility: The upgrade ensures compatibility with the latest iOS and Android versions.
