18 February 2020
Evora customer MIBRAG, a German mining corporation showcased the implemented solutions for digitalized maintenance at the industry meeting organized by the expert group “Arbeitskreis Nord” – Maintenance Days, which took place at the end of February 2020 in Bonn.
Modern open-cast mines operate just-in-time. To ensure reliability of supply and avoid expensive downtimes, a digitally managed mobile maintenance management system was installed. The maintenance plan and reported urgent incidents give a complete overview of the upcoming inspections or repairs. Using drag & drop, the person responsible for planning assigns the work with deadlines to the individual technicians or maintenance teams. They receive their work list via tablet, check the relevant equipment on site, and record any defects.
All 200 employees of the maintenance division has been equipped with a tablet. They have access to an mobile application, that maps the entire maintenance process: from processing checklists, to recording defects including photo documentation, to prioritizing repair measures including order scheduling and controlling the procurement of spare parts.
Side effect of the project was the simplification and acceleration of processes through digital, paperless order processing. Interested in learning more? We arrange a reference customer visit or call, get in touch with us.
